5 Healthy Thanksgiving Recipes

It’s that time of year again where we express our gratitude and appreciation to our love ones: Thanksgiving! This year (just like the previous years), Hunger Actions would like to take a moment and thank all the families who have participated in our workshops and readers who have followed and read our blog posts 🙂

To help celebrate this evening, we have found 5 healthy and delicious thanksgiving recipes!

appleApple Cranberry Walnut Salad
Start off the evening with this light and sweet-tasting salad to open up your tastebuds for the savoury dishes afterwards!

The salad includes a combination of crisp apples, dried cranberries, feta cheese, and hearty walnuts – a perfect touch for this Autumn weather.

soupButternut Squash Soup
Next in line is a simple Butternut Squash soup to soften the sweetness from the salad in preparation for the following dishes. This soup has just the right amount of flavouring, which makes it a great way to set the tone for the evening.

Easy Roasted Mushrooms with Rosemary & Garlic
Crispy Roasted Green Beans
With your tastebuds now opened and ready to go, the two following recipes: Roasted Mushrooms and Roasted Green Beans will be the perfect duo to feast on before the main dish! The two flavours are also great compliments of one another: the mushrooms being more on the savoury side whereas the beans adds a lighter touch.

Herbed Turkey Breast

And finally, what all of you have been waiting for: the turkey. After reading through many recipes, we finally found the perfect turkey that is not only delicious but is also healthy! This turkey’s nice, crispy golden skin and lemon-peppered flavour will definitely win the hearts of those at the table and take the crown for the evening!

We hope you enjoy these 5 healthy and delicious recipes!
