Healthy Popcorn


  • 3 tbsp high smoke point oil (canola, peanut, coconut)
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ½ cup corn kernels



  1. Place oil, salt, and 3 corn kernels into a 3-quart saucepan over medium-high heat. Cover and cook until all 3 kernels pop.
  2. Remove the three kernels from the pan and add the rest of the kernels into the pan. Cover and cook, shaking occasionally until the popping stops.
  3. Remove from heat and add butter or spices to taste.
