- 3 tbsp high smoke point oil (canola, peanut, coconut)
- ½ tsp salt
- ½ cup corn kernels
- Place oil, salt, and 3 corn kernels into a 3-quart saucepan over medium-high heat. Cover and cook until all 3 kernels pop.
- Remove the three kernels from the pan and add the rest of the kernels into the pan. Cover and cook, shaking occasionally until the popping stops.
- Remove from heat and add butter or spices to taste.
